DURATION
3 weeks

Apart Hate is a publication that collates reflections from Trevor Noah's memoir Born a Crime with the intent of empathetic history education.

Students are often bombarded with dates and facts in usual history lessons. These important stories are barely emotive and one forgets all about them after mugging up for a test. This publication is an attempt to make students better understand the gravity of the atrocities, the emotions of people when they're oppressed, and the behavior of the oppressor through the lens of Apartheid so that they understand patterns and they're well aware when it tends to repeat in the present.

Genre: History/Education
Target Audience: Students and young adults
Book format: Handbook/Diary

This project was done under the guidance of Deshna Mehta during Semester 6 Publication Design course.
